LAWMA MD Leads Cleanup/Advocacy, Charges Ajiran Community On Compliance With Environmental Laws The Managing Director/CEO of Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Mr. Ibrahim Odumboni, has charged residents and shop owners of Ajiran Community in Eti-Osa Local Government area, to take responsibility for their wastes, by patronizing the assigned PSP operator, and to pay their waste bills promptly. Odumboni, at a meeting with the monarch of Ajiran Community, HRM Oba Tijani Akinloye, attended by representatives of CDAs/CDCs, council chairman, landlords, market leaders, health officers, street captains and others, expressed deep-seated dissatisfaction with the state of their environment. He told them to mobilize youths to police the black spots, stressing that waste service was not free, warning that further environmental infractions would receive the full weight of law.
